Who this policy covers

MealMotion is operated by Brok Howard for adults aged 18 or older who reside in the United States. It is a household meal, pantry, nutrition and wellness planner. Contact info@brokhoward.com with privacy questions or requests.

Information we collect

Google sign-in supplies your account identity, email and basic profile information. You may provide a display name, age and height; food and nutrition logs, targets and body measurements; fitness preferences, equipment, availability, workout plans and logs, sleep responses and reviews. Household data includes membership and invitation emails, pantry items, shopping lists, stores, receipts, recipes and planned meals. Optional uploads include receipt and pantry photos, restaurant photos and workout screenshots. We also record processing status, confidence and timestamps, and service diagnostics needed to operate and troubleshoot the app.

What is shared and what stays private

Accepted members of your household share pantry, shopping, recipes, planned meals, stores, receipts, household photos and activity. Profiles, personal nutrition logs and targets, body measurements, restaurant meals and photos, fitness preferences, plans and logs, sleep responses, reviews and Calendar connections are restricted to their owner. Planned meal participation is part of household planning; your personal consumption and nutrition log is not shared with your partner. Authorized service processing and administration can access data when needed to run, support or protect the service.

How we use information and service providers

We use information to operate the planner, maintain household lists, calculate estimates and progress, support your decisions and protect accounts. Lovable Cloud provides hosting, authentication, database and private file storage. Google provides sign-in and optional Calendar access. Optional image analysis sends your selected photo and relevant extraction instructions through Lovable’s AI service to its model providers. Results are editable estimates, not measurements; inventory, nutrition and workout records change only after approval. Manual entry is available. Food lookups use Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central; store searches use OpenStreetMap/Nominatim. Search terms or barcodes are sent to those services, not your personal health logs. Map requests may disclose your IP address to the map provider.

Google Calendar information

Calendar connection is optional and separate from Google sign-in. With your permission we read basic Google account identity and your calendar list, and read, create, update or delete events needed to sync accepted workouts on the calendar you select. Workout events may contain their title, duration, modality, intensity, equipment, explanation and an internal plan identifier. We do not send nutrition logs, body measurements or sleep responses to Calendar. Anyone you have shared that Google calendar with may see the workout events according to Google’s sharing settings.

Access credentials are handled on the server; the app stores an encrypted per-user connection handle. We change only linked MealMotion workout events. Changes detected in Google require your decision before they are restored or adopted. You can pause sync or disconnect in Settings. Disconnecting or deleting your account revokes MealMotion’s connection and leaves existing Google events in place; delete those in Google if desired. You can also remove access in your Google Account’s third-party connections settings.

MealMotion’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account and Calendar data is not used for advertising, sold, or sent for AI model training.

Photos and retention

Photos are stored in a private bucket with access controls and temporary signed viewing links. Receipt and pantry photos are retained after review. Restaurant photos are retained privately until you delete them. A workout screenshot is permanently removed from app storage only after a confirmed workout log references it; unconfirmed screenshots remain until deletion. Uploaded photos are processed by external AI services when you request analysis; their processing and retention are governed by those providers’ policies, so do not upload unnecessary sensitive details.

Account deletion and your choices

Use Delete account in Settings (also available during onboarding). After confirmation we revoke stored service connections, remove your uploaded files including household photos you uploaded, delete your personal records and upload metadata, and remove your household associations and invitations. If another accepted member remains, shared household records remain with identifying attribution removed and ownership transferred when necessary. If no accepted member remains, the household and its shared records and uploads are deleted. Your Google account itself is not deleted. Existing Google Calendar events are left in Google.

Deletion is permanent for active app records and storage; if a step fails the app reports that deletion is incomplete and you can retry. Service backups, security logs and provider records may persist according to provider retention and legal obligations; we do not promise immediate erasure from backups. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion assistance. We do not sell personal information or use personal health data for targeted advertising.

Security, children and updates

We use authenticated access, household- and owner-scoped permissions, private storage and encrypted connection handles. No service can guarantee absolute security. MealMotion is not intended for anyone under 18 or outside the U.S.; contact us if an ineligible person has supplied information. Changes to this policy will be posted here with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated before applying a materially different use of existing information.
